Executive Director
Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network, a nationally recognized leader in person-directed care is searching for an Executive Director for its continuing care retirement community, The Renaissance.
This position is responsible for the operations of The Renaissance through the delivery of quality lifestyle and services to residents within budgetary constraints; implementation of policies of Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network; and assistance to Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network in the development of new programs and facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates The Renaissance in accordance with annual operating and capital budgets.
- Retains competent personnel, so as to provide quality lifestyle and services to the residents, and disciplines and/or terminates personnel, in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of The Renaissance personnel, conducts written evaluations of department managers at least annually, and ensures that written evaluations of all other personnel are conducted at least annually.
- Ensures that The Renaissance complies with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Assists the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in developing the annual operating plan for The Renaissance and develops and achieves appropriate goals and objectives.
- Implements operating policies established by the Board of Trustees and oversees operations of each department to ensure compliance with the same.
- Maintains positive public relations with residents and their families, employees, the community and government officials.
- Maintains effective lines of communication with the COO, employees, and residents and their families and provides written reports on operations to the COO as requested but at least monthly.
- Attends meetings of the Board of Trustees and its Committees as requested by the Board, the Chief Executive Officer, or the COO.
- Acts as a facility representative for the execution of authorized contracts and agreements with residents and vendors.
- Assists as requested by the COO in the development of new services and facilities for The Renaissance and Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network.
- Meets or exceeds the quality criteria established by the Board of Trustees Quality Assessment Committee.
- Meets or exceeds the financial performance criteria established in the operating budget for the facility.
- Maintains or exceeds the census in accordance with the budget for the facility.
- Maintains good communication with the COO and other members of Senior Management.
- Fulfills role of Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for The Health Center.
- Performs such other duties as assigned and as required to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the position and are in the best interest of the Company.
General Requirements:
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain/convey information in successful manner.
· Ability to respond to public, staff or stakeholder inquiries.
Education:
· Baccalaureate Degree in related field
· Current Nursing Home Administrator’s License
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years progressive leadership experience in a CCRC.
Travel:
- To meetings as necessary.
